This guide is inspired by Team mouz gaming A

hero
easy to get along with, but difficult to master, Rikimaru is one of the old
school DotA heroes. From its early form, having a mobile Death Ward, to the currently infamous ganker, Rikimaru has been loved and hated by users and foes alike. Greatly buffed directly and indirectly in the 6.56 map, Rikimaru is now one of the most powerfull
mid-gamer in DotA rivaled by only heroes like Oblivion and Bane, and can be considered a game breaker late

game
– if played right. Rikimaru can now be considered as a new, and more powerful Anti-Mage, who can easily outclass

the old
, and ineffective Magina in team fights with his arsenal of improved spells and improved items which suits him. However, following the famous pick of this guy as a new breed of superhero, the 6.58 map has nerfed the all potent riki. Still, he is a powerfull hero. The aim of this

guide
is to present, my opinions on how to play Rikimaru, with a kind of old schooled build as the main build, which have been greatly left out especially by pubbies. This

guide
will be centered on how to make Rikimaru, a click-kill

hero
. 1 skill build, 1 item build, 1 style. If you are someone who abhor long guides, there is something for you at the very end of this

guide
(almost) that resembles a summary, so never fear. Also, I am not image-friendly, and therefore, expect minimal screenshots.

Traxex, The Drow Ranger Guide by Rikimaru the Assassin

Saturday, August 8th, 2009

Rikimaru the Assasin is the author of this guide, nicely done!

Traxex, the Drow Ranger

By Rikimaru the Assassin

Introduction

Traxex is known as a death sealer. Once her team marks a target, ganking will be pure success, with the spells the Drow Ranger has in her arsenal. Coupled with her powerful possible damage output, she can be one of the best killers throughout the whole game.

She is played as a semi-carry, a supportive hero with a twist of carry material. With the devastating ability of her skills to render the enemy helpless, and also with powerful damage output she can make, played properly she is devastating. My guide will show how to be a great early helper, and then a late game attraction.

Chen, the Holy Knight Guide by killing you softly

Monday, October 6th, 2008

This guide was written by killing you softly, really good job!

Chen, the Holy Knight

IPB Image

Introduction

This guide is not targeted at newer players and is focused more on strategy.

Chen has often been the target of changes in new maps, not only because of direct changes to the hero itself but the neutral creeps and terrain as well. Before the 6 series, Chen’s gameplay does not revolve around creeps. After which, he underwent a remake where he has new skills, most notably Holy Persuasion. In 6.50, Chen received major buffs because he was too weak. Buffs that are so major that Chen rose from a nobody to a top pick or a common ban instantly in competitive plays.

He is definitely not an easy hero to play and excel in and I believe you agree too. But contrary to what most people think, micromanagement is not that difficult. As micro is a skill like all others, you will improve as you play more Chen games.

In order to play Chen at his peak level, you need to at least:

  • to know when to gank.
  • to be able to control your creeps well in team battles.
  • to keep an eye, literally on the minimap every non-engaging moment for your global heal

And a battle Chen is ridiculous.

Dota Allstars 6.55 (Beta): New Hero Guide – Kunkka (Captain Coco), The Admiral Proudmoore.

Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008
Kunkka (Captain Coco) The Admiral Proudmoore Guide, Dota 6.55 New Hero (Beta). I love this hero, so much cooler than Goblin Clockwerk ^-^ With Alleria the Windrunner, they are both Sentinels new ammunition. This hero is Strength type and has some good skills to support his physical attack.

Kunkka the Admiral ProudmooreKunkka the Admiral Proudmoore

The most cool skill is his second one, ul
sing a ghostship to draw the enemies if they try to escape. His first skill when activated make you have splash damage. His third skill is mark the spot, marks a hero and leaves an X in its area, after a few seconds(not sure how many) the targetted hero moves back to the X mark. His ultimate gives 2x critical for several seconds, realy neat to kill a hero quickly.

Here is more explanation about his skills:
-First skill is TideBringer
ASSUMING TIDE BRINGER IS AT MAX LEVEL
1 second after tide bringer when activated, it will deal about 300 damage to units in a 220 radius. After damage is dealt, it gives Kunkka an extra 60 damage and an 100% cleaving attack which affects units for around 500 distance. However, this buff only lasts for 8-10 seconds or 5 hits (Like Ursa’s Overpower) Great for farming.

-Second skill is Ghost Ship
Slows enemies hit with the ship and draws them closer.

-Third skill is X Marks the Spot
Marks a hero and leaves an X in its area, after a few seconds(not sure how many) the targetted hero moves back to the X mark. Use this to make the blinker enemy cannot escape.

-Ultimate Captain’s Rum
When you cast the spell, the targeted ally hero gains 20% bonus ms and a high (100%?) chance to crit for 2x damage. This buff lasts for about 5 seconds. Use it to kill enemy, combined with Mask of Madness, i think this skills is really great.

Ghost Ship
Look at that ship!!! Reminds me of Pirates of the Caribbean :D
