Anub’seran, the Nerubian Weaver Guide by Atze-Peng

Tuesday, January 13th, 2009

This guide was written by Atze-Peng, thanks!

Dota Allstars Anub'seran nerubian weaver

Authorcomment: This is my first guide for an DotA Hero. I really like Weaver and think, there isn’t a really good guide right now for him. That’s why i’m making this guide and hope this will be a good guide.
My english isn’t the best. If you find any mistakes, which will be really much, tell me them by sending a private message. If you post the mistakes in this thread, it’ll become unclearly for me and for other user to read the replys in this thread.

Anub’seran. The name of this creature strikes fear into all of those who have seen the Nerubians. Even the famed assassin Anub’arak is hesitant to fight this beast, which comes from the plane of the spirit world. He can swiftly walk through his enemies, bending their bodies to his will, causing pain while he strides through them. With his powers over the timeless plane, he can also step inside and throw himself into the past to keep himself from death. He can call an attack from the future to strike his foes, making his onslaught more deadly. Anub’seran. Only the fools do not fear his name.

Twilight Tavern, in the right centre. Hotkey is “W”.

Cooldown: 10
Your main skill. This skill is really something, Nuke+blink+aoe all wrap into this cool skill.use it, love it.

Adaptiv[e] Strike
Blasts a target with magical energy, dealing damage or disabling the target based on the Morphling’s dominant attribute between Agility and Strength.
Level 1 – 30 + 1.4x Agility in damage or stuns the target 1.4 seconds and knocks back slightly.

Adaptive strike, i am sad to say that you won’t be able to use the stun as my build focus all on agi. But the good thing is after you max it, you will see 400~500 dmg.

The Morphling has the unique ability to replicate any target friendly, enemy hero, or his own images. Although it only deals 50% damage, the hero can morph into his replication, instantly taking its position.

Level 2 – Lasts 45 seconds.
Level 3 – Lasts 60 seconds.
Mana Cost: 200

Replicate, from the name you can tell it allow you to clone a hero, friend or foe.The good thing about this skill is that the replicate last for 1 mins and the clone will have passive of the hero clone. However we won’t eally be needing this.

Chen, the Holy Knight Guide by killing you softly

Monday, October 6th, 2008

This guide was written by killing you softly, really good job!

Chen, the Holy Knight

IPB Image

Introduction

This guide is not targeted at newer players and is focused more on strategy.

Chen has often been the target of changes in new maps, not only because of direct changes to the hero itself but the neutral creeps and terrain as well. Before the 6 series, Chen’s gameplay does not revolve around creeps. After which, he underwent a remake where he has new skills, most notably Holy Persuasion. In 6.50, Chen received major buffs because he was too weak. Buffs that are so major that Chen rose from a nobody to a top pick or a common ban instantly in competitive plays.

He is definitely not an easy hero to play and excel in and I believe you agree too. But contrary to what most people think, micromanagement is not that difficult. As micro is a skill like all others, you will improve as you play more Chen games.

In order to play Chen at his peak level, you need to at least:

  • to know when to gank.
  • to be able to control your creeps well in team battles.
  • to keep an eye, literally on the minimap every non-engaging moment for your global heal

And a battle Chen is ridiculous.

Skills

IPB Image Penitence

Forces a unit to accept punishment for its sins, causing it to move slower and accept more damage from attacks and spells.
Lasts 7 seconds.

Level 1 – 8% movement speed reduction, and 7% increased damage taken.
Level 2 – 16% movement speed reduction, and 14% increased damage taken.
Level 3 – 24% movement speed reduction, and 21% increased damage taken.
Level 4 – 32% movement speed reduction, and 28% increased damage taken.

Cooldown: 14 seconds.

Level 1: 100 mana, 14 sec cooldown.
Level 2: 100 mana, 14 sec cooldown.
Level 3: 100 mana, 14 sec cooldown.
Level 4: 100 mana, 14 sec cooldown.

A powerful slow and damage amplification spell, often used in initiating ganks and letting your creeps chase up to your target.

Venomancer, the Lesale Deathbringer Damage And Support Guide by ImbaCore

IÅ“For those obsessed with death, poison is a necessary study. However, Lesale went a step too far. He experimented upon himself with various toxins and chemicals so that he could learn the secrets of death. These twisted his mind and mutated his body into a hideous creature which embodies an immense hatred for all things pure. He can strike an enemy with a concentrated shot of poison or even spread a toxic gas throughout an entire area, severely weakening beast and human alike.

[1.0] – Introduction
Team Role: Damage Support

The guide gets revamped from its old stage to the current Venomancer being played today with a few modifications. Venomancer is a hunter. The guide is names Damage Support because all he needs to do is activate his ultimate and the team should do what they can from there.

I know what you might be thinking, a copy from PsychicDog and ChickenMctest just by looking at the item build? No, the strategy is different here. Although it is familiar, this strategy has existed since the 6.0x days but why post a similar guide now? I got tired of updating the same guide and I have failed to post any of my stock guides here so here I am with Venomancer.

Jah’rakal, The Troll Warlord Guide to Maximum Killing Potential by earlybird92

Friday, October 3rd, 2008

This guide was written by earlybird92, thanks pal!

Discuss this post at forums here.

Hello there! Jah’rakal is a really fun to play but rather underused hero because he has little potential in league games, so this guide will focus on Jah’rakal as a killer/rambo type and not a team player:)

Jah’rakal – The Troll Warlord
Range: 500 | | Move Speed: 300 | Primary: AGI
Str: 17 + 2.2 | Agi: 21 + 2.75 | Int: 13 + 1
Damage: 36 – 58 | HP: 473 | Mana: 169
HP Regen: 0.76 | Mana Regen: 0.53
Attack Speed: 1.34 (+ 21% IAS) | Armor: 2

Berserker’s Rage (G)
Jah’rakal goes berserk, using his throwing axes as a melee weapon. He gains 27 minimum damage and 12 maximum damage, 100 HP, 3 armor, 7% move speed, and the Bash ability, but can only attack at melee range.
Level 1 – Bash has a 5% chance to deal 25 bonus damage and stun for 2 seconds.
Level 2 – Bash has a 5% chance to deal 50 bonus damage and stun for 2 seconds.
Level 3 – Bash has a 10% chance to deal 25 bonus damage and stun for 2 seconds.
Level 4 – Bash has a 10% chance to deal 50 bonus damage and stun for 2 seconds.
Mana Cost: 0
Cooldown: 0

A good mid-late game skill. The best time for hunting is once you Max this skill

Blind (D)
A searing light blinds the vision of a target enemy unit, making it miss on some attacks.
Lasts 15 seconds.
Level 1 – Misses on 15% of attacks.
Level 2 – Misses on 24% of attacks.
Level 3 – Misses on 33% of attacks.
Level 4 – Misses on 42% of attacks.
Mana Cost: 20
Cooldown: 8

When people say that Silencer/Viper is the most annoying harraser, they are WRONG. Blind is the most annoying harassing spell in the game(Note That I didnt say best) as there is nothing more annoying than missing a perfectly timed last hit on a creep. The skill that is to be Maxed out early

Fervor ()
Passively increases the attack speed of friendly units within 300 AoE.
Level 1 – Increases attack speed by 5%.
Level 2 – Increases attack speed by 15%.
Level 3 – Increases attack speed by 20%.
Level 4 – Increases attack speed by 30%.
Stack with Necronomicon Archer’s Endurance Aura.
Mana Cost: N/A
Cooldown: N/A

Fantastic skill mid late game for pushing and killing. You wont be learning this early though as it causes you to push more quickly.

Rampage ®
Troll Warlord goes into a feral rampage, increasing his attack and movement speeds.
Lasts 30 seconds.
Level 1 – Increases attack speed by 40% and movement speed by 5%.
Level 2 – Increases attack speed by 80% and movement speed by 7%.
Level 3 – Increases attack speed by 120% and movement speed by 9%.
Mana Cost: 100/ 150/ 205
Cooldown: 55

Add this to Fervour and you get 150% attack speed. Add this to Rage and you get 16% movement speed. This skill is the reason why people fear troll.

Skill build.
